Password Prime is an information manager that allows you to store your confidential data in a swift and safe way. Specifically, Prime Password saves your user IDs and passwords you use to access your personal accounts of your favorite websites. Password Prime uses two mechanisms to protect your data from strange eyes: password protection when the program starts, and a system encryption to protect your database.
The first time you run Password Prime, you ought to enter a password. This password is required in order to open your list of user IDs and passwords, so you have to make sure you don't forget it. From now on it will be the only password you have to remember!
In order to start using the program, you have to click the Add button, and a new window will be shown that allows you to enter three different items:
- Username: If you have a user ID associated with this password, enter it. Otherwise, you can leave this field blank or enter a descriptive name to help remember where your password is used.
- Password: This is the password you wish to remember.
- Used At: This is the website or location where your user ID and password are used. If you enter a website, you will be able to quickly open the page in the future.
When you want to use one of your user IDs or passwords, you have to select it from the list displayed on the main window. You can copy the information to the clipboard. You can also click the "Go To" button to quickly open a web browser window to the location entered in Used At.
Your list of user IDs and passwords is automatically saved whenever you add or edit an item.
